Lips
This procedure is great for those who have lost colour around the edges of their lips, lost definition because of aging; to create more symmetrical lips or who have really pale colourless lips.
NOTE:
-
If you’re prone to cold sores, make sure you start taking antiviral medication to prevent them 1 week before your procedure. The stimulation from the needle will bring out cold sores and that can really ruin the procedure and make the healing process uncomfortable. If you have EVER had a fever blister or cold sore or shingles or chicken pox as an adult, it is recommended that you obtain a prescribed antiviral medication from your doctor for a full 5 day course beginning 3days before your procedure and 2 days after your procedure.
-
Smokers might experience more discomfort during the procedure due to scar tissue.
-
The colour will appear very dark directly after the procedure, but will lighten up to 70% as the skin heals
-
A lipstick finish is not a realistic expectation. The pigment is implanted under the skin - not ontop, as lipstick would be. Lip procedures enhance lips and do not replace make up application.

This application is done with a permanent make up device. Dependent on lifestyle, aftercare, sun exposure, skin products and health, you will probably need a colour boost every 6 months to a year, but if the tattoo is maintained well, it should only be required every 2 years.

The initial procedure is a two step process, with a touch up procedure required within 8 weeks of the initial procedure. Each treatment takes up to 2 hours. Discomfort is kept to a minimum as I use anaesthetic creams and gels before and during the procedure. There is no down time, but the aftercare needs to be followed carefully.
